The test program is currently only available to users that have purchased a Pixel on Fi, so keep an eye out for a new phone from the search giant shortly if you are in the market for a new smartphone.

The test program is currently only available to those with a Pixel model, such as the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3.

The free trial program will give you unlimited data, unlimited

If you’ve been considering giving Google Fi a try, now might be the perfect time to take it out for a spin. The carrier is test-driving a trial program for new customers that would allow you to preview the service for a week for free using the eSIM on your device.

Google claims that the service will work with any “Unlocked” GSM-compatible device, which we assume means that it will work with any phone that uses Google’s Android software. However, if your phone requires a special SIM, you should check out the data plan page on their site to see if they cover your device.

When you sign up for the trial you’ll be given a number to use for the week. With it, you’ll receive unlimited talk, text, and data, including the ability to use your phone as a mobile hot spot. Once the week is over, you can decide to sign up for the service and keep that trial number, or sign up and port your existing number over to the service, reports 9to5Google.
